I'm looking for a pair of trucks with sideframes for a athearn blue box u30c locomotive.  New or used

Give Athearn a try. They have a number on their web site that is for a parts dept. I have yet to order from them, but as I understand from other members of these forums, Athearn often has parts they don't show on their web site. Also, some of the online retailers carry Athearn parts...like MB Klein, Trainworld, etc. You could check them out and see what they have. Otherwise Ebay might be your best bet.  Since the Athearn BB U boat C's had a common chassis, you might be able to find an entire powered locomotive or boat 'C' power chassis for what trucks and side frames would cost from Athearn...if they would have them.

Best of luck

Isi3009,

You can e-mail Your query for parts or call, I prefer the latter. Helpful if You had a part #, but give as much info as You can, they will answer Your E-mail, give them some time. If you do decide to call ext. 122 leave msg. if no one answer's and they also will call you back. When You do get an answer on 122, ask to speak to Alex if someone other than He answers. If they do not have the part, He will tell You where to get it. He also has a parts shop on the side and He may be able to help You. You may say Frank told You, if He ask's.

He has helped me out with many old BB Engine parts I was looking for...for a friend of mine in the UK. Here is the info:
