I model in N scale and am NOT dcc. I saw a sound system at GATS in Little Rock and bought it. It is called a MaxxTraxx.. It comes with a small speaker that you can mount under the track, and sounded really neat at the train show. I brought it home and started playing with it. It uses an 8 ohm speaker and I thought to myself, Self, what has a close impedance that would work as a speaketr system? The lightbulb went off and I thought of the powered sound system for a computer (with subwoofer, of course. I wired it in mono and added a 10 ohm resister in series with it to keep the magic box happy. It is AWESOME!!! I cannot turn it up all the way and stay in the same room with it!! It shakes the walls, rattles the windows, and scared the heck out of my wife when she heard a Mallet running through the attic, complete with the doppler effect of the whistle!! Great fun. I am getting the diesel version for my birthday!!! <br />
