I ran into a problem some time ago and tried to talk it out between Z-stuff,Lionel, and Gargrave switches. The problem is Lionels command control crane hits the DZ-1000 and the new DZ-2000 machines. No matter if its Gargraves track or lionel track with the switch machine shimed to the correct hieght it wont work. Of course you know lionel denies everything and is no help at all. Gargraves at least pointed me in the direction to go for help which is Z-stuff. So I wrote to Z-stuff asking him a fix for the problem. He tells me he cant fix it cause he cant see the problem and isnt going to purchase a crane to look at the problem. Then he wants me to send my crane and boom car to him with me paying the shipping both ways knowing UPS dont handle fragile items well i of course told him no way. I asked him why he couldnt just go to a hobby shop near him and simply look at a crane. He tells me he dont want to. He tells me to trade and upgrade the dz-1000 for a fee. I asked him if he knew if it would work. He says he doesnt know for sure. So I asked him why I would want to go through my layout and change the switch machines when he doesnt know if it will fix it. The guy tells me he needs pictures of the problem. So I take some pictures or the problem and send them to him. He tells me it is my fault that train wont go by the switch because i mixed the lionel and the gargraves track together and shimed the dz up way to high but i told him its the same problem as with just gargraves track and a gargraves switch. He tells me no theres no problem and I should go through my whole layout and change the track to Gargraves cause it works. So I had some gargrave track laying around and did a set up with that and the switch machine and still have the same problem and so i sent him some pictures of it with an idea to fix the problem with a different spring. He tells me its not his fault and insist that there is no problem with the crane and the machine. So of course i got 3 cranes and 3 boom cars that can only sit in the yard because the guy at Z-stuff wont fix the problem. Im very very dissatisfied with Z-stuffs help on this problem. His attitude was terrible calling me all kinds of things when i just wanted an answer to a simple problem with a simple solution. He told me in the email which i saved basicly in a roundabout way that I was a liar, a complete idiot, lazy, and he just wanted to blow me off. I thought this would be a great topic in the magazine for classic toy trains. I thought alot of people should know about the problem with the crane and the DZ-1000 switch machines.

Very Very angry at Z-stuff with thier help and support.
