I received some advice in this forum that feeder wire should be run at intervals of every three to five foot stretch of track to keep current flowing at a consistent level. I use KATO snap track sections, and the my layout is not large. I've noticed just this morning some of my locomotives are showing some hesistancy midway around the ovals (the outer main is 6'x8'); do I replace a section of straight track and replace it with another section thats wired and connect it to the power pack? The rails are cleaned as are the locomotive wheels, so I know that's not the cause of slow-down.
