Need help finding the right train

Hi all. New to the forum. I am designing a N scale layout that will become a coffee-table. I have a particular train style that I'm looking for and I can't seem to find it! Any suggestions?
What I'm looking for is an old style steam engine and small passenger coaches. (Think Thomas and Annie/Clarabel). Because of the small layout and the enclosure around the set-up, I am leaning towards a simple "scenic-route" train trip (as opposed to creating a minature town). I am having a hard time finding a train that fits my ideal. Bachmann makes a couple of locomotives that would work, but the coaches are really giving me a hard time! All the passenger cars I've found are too "new" and long for what I have in mind. To give you an idea of the train I'm looking for, check out the Cagney train at

Thanks in advance for any help!

Not an N-scale guy, but I used to be the Borough Engineer for Strasburg Boro. I know the Railroad also had a nice hobby store. Perhaps if you contact them they would carry models that mimic their prototypes? Also I thing Overton produces some turn of the cenntury coaches, baggage cars, etc.
Good luck.

Bachmann has produced passenger cars that look pretty close to what you're looking for.I have two of them but since I bought them used,I don't have part numbers. They were "Bachmann Plus" products and may be that you can still find them at distributors.Good luck in your search.
