Another peeve: Models where you have to remove the couplers before removing the bodyshell, turning a simple lube or cleaning job into a game of "find the tiny coupler screw/spring that went ping into oblivion". Bachmann managed to make their Dash 8s so the couplers are completely body-mounted, I'm sure others have too, so why on earth do some manufacturers not do this? I'm specifically talking about Athearn locos - this is the only flaw in an otherwise superb product in my opinion.

Also, locos where you have to do a lot of work to fit Kadees - given how long these couplers have been available for, it's amazing that even new locos sometimes need surgery to fit them. Also locos where you need to use offset couplers to achieve the correct height, and you need to use a tiny drill/tap set that is unavailable anywhere near you...(My SD40T has the coupler boxes held on with a smear of Cyanoacrylate until I can find the right drill and tap to fit them with the bolts provided - this is also hampering my planned detailing work as I can't fit a pilot plough without making the body unremovable)

Spleen vented. Feel better now!
