Stewart has some.

Tinker Town often has really good custom models, I have seen MKT there.

Hmmm, well, better break out the paint and decals(detail parts too).
I suggest doing more reasearch though before you buy. Think about what classes
you want on the layout. You can find a ton of online photo galleries on any railroad.
The easiest idea would be to order a walthers reference book if you don't have one already. if you don't the number is 1-800-4-trains, the books go for about $40.

I am also a big fan of the "Katy" railroad. Do you model a specific period in MKT's history or do you just buy what you like as I do? Stewart Hobbies has a nice S-12 switcher and several F-models (red) that are excellent runners. Atlas made a GP-7 (red) in the recent past and currently has a GP-40 (green & yellow) that it just beautiful! Athearn should have a RTR GP-38 (green & yellow) in a couple of weeks. If you are looking for steam the only production locomotive I know of is a 2-8-0 by IHC which runs well but the detail isn't so great and it has a coal tender instead of an oil tender. I do a lot of kit bashing of RTR or near RTR steam locomotives in order to make pacifics and mikados that closely resemble those used by MKT. I have an Athearn Genesis Mikado and a Pacific that I am detailing now. All they need in some white paint trim, decals and a styrene conversion of the tender from coal to oil. Rivet counters might not like them, but they pull off the illusion for me and I'm pretty picky. Just ask my wife. Let me know if I can be of any help or if there is anything in particular you are looking for. I recently broke my penny bank and bought a digital camera so let me know if you would like to see pictures of anything.

Missouri Kansas Texas Railroad. A small (by today's standard) railroad that managed to survive until the late 80's when it was swallowed by the "big yellow bus" of Union Pacific. Their passenger steam engines were lovingly referred to as "painted ladies" thanks to the colorful herald on the tender and white trim on the drivers and running boards as well as their dutiful crews who did their best to keep them clean. The initials for the MKT eventually led to the railroad being lovingly called the "Katy" railroad.

There ain't too many paint schemes easier to paint yourself than MKT green. use decals for the yellow safety stripes. Very easy.

Surely there is someone in your area who would decal them for you. The paint scheme was solid black and then solid green so they wouldn't be hard to paint. Lets face it, there aren't going to be many manufacturers who bring out Katy factory painted stuff based on the following so you are going to have to be inventive to obtain what you want.
