Jim, thay is my understanding also. I think there maybe some confusion out there just because of the prior modelexpo rivs still on the shelve. I asked Jim Walthers of Walthers to clarify their warranties all the Rivarossi product line that is advertised in their new reference book. Also asked about the modelexpo rivs and what the modeler should do once the walthers warranty expires and who will or is the riv authorizied repair/parts vendor. With so many manufacturers/distributors out there of locos(15 or more) what is needed is a posting of all their warranties. They all vary, from 60 days to life and a lot of times it's not spelled in in the literature that comes with the engine. For the kind of $money we spend it would be comforting to know the warranty terms and I will post the Walther's reply.
