Krump-- Depends on what you mean by compatible. I think the rolling stock is all compatible. I have some Roco, Marklin, and Piko and all use the European hook and loop coupler. The coupler boxes seem to be standard, so I've replaced the couplers with Kadee #18s. Locomotives, though, are another story. I believe Marklin uses a three-rail ac system for their locomotives, but they do make some 2-rail dc for use with other equipment. Roco and the other makers mostly have 2-rail dc locomotives, but they make some 3-rail ac equipment to run on Marklin layouts. Be sure to check before buying a locomotive! Gary
