I'm not sure whether you mean the black widow or the "bloody nose" paint scheme - I've got an Athearn SD9 in the "bloody nose" scheme and the handrails for this are supposed to be black, but the handrails next to the steps (the ones you'd use when climbing onto or off the loco) should be white - hope this helps!
