My daughter sandbags on here .  My whole family enjoys model railroading.  I have sons that are passive about it, but my youngest daughter is active.  I've found it quite interesting as I've read other threads based on the gender involvement, that there seems to be a feeling of alienation towards women.  I find this to be quite disturbing when one considers the values of model railroading.  I'm a school teacher so I have a tendency to find the educational value in everything.  Parents that want a clean family oriented hobby will find it here.  This is a great hobby to learn government, art, history, and just about everything else.  It's also a wonderful thing to spend quality family time together, cement family bonds, and create lasting memories.
