If you are modeling a prototype railroad, topozone maps could come in handy.

I've downloaded maps of Abo Canyon, which I'm modeling and I've even spotted a spur that I never knew existed, where helper engines used to park. Also, the map shows where double-track starts and ends and also gives me topo features to model. I plan to model the entire 3-mile canyon as close to prototype as possible and topozone, & photos from web are tools I'll be using.
