By the time you get a new motor and wheel set (and the correct chassis to put them together) you are looking at a new train less the body... You might approach it from the point of view of keeping the body from the old wind-up and having new "guts". Since you are not picky about the body, you might try eBay or the used section of your local shop. If you want to go new, I would recommend the P2K 0-6-0 - very smooth quiet runner. There are other cheaper locos too - some in kit form, but I do not know too much about them. Just one other thought - any chance that a watch or clock repair shop could do repairs? Andrew
