T-Grid Ceilings in Train Room, Why?

If your layout is in a basement, you sure don't want to seal in water, drain, gas (I also have steam) pipes. One day you'll have to get to them for some reason. <br /> Also drop ceilings are much easier to install and to add or change light fixtures.
