Mine's HO. I feel it's the perfect scale where you can get the perfect aspect of detail and realisem.

My favorite is N. Look at the product announced by Atlas. From Trainmaster to VO1000 and now Steam! Our shop forces will be busy making room for the new Mogul & Shay!

My favourite scale?Honestly,I can say that all scales do have their strong points.I've seen layouts in O,HO and N and honestly,if taste was the only parameter,I'd have a tough choice.

Then come the other parameters like budget, availability and SPACE.Although HO shines in both budget and availability,N has the edge for space. So I say that N is my most "practical" scale,Z being too hard to find, too expensive and...just too small.

Well that is a tough choice because I started out in HO and and now I changed to N scale. I think I am going to stick with N scale now though after i have mingled in it a while. So this has become my favorite. I like the idea of runnin longer trains in smaller area. Now if i could get a couple of models in N scale i would be all set!

S, at least for now. I started in HO went to O and now S. For me S represents the best compromise for what I want to do in the space I have (11'x18'). But if space changes, who knows, On30 looks interesting. I'm also thinking about doing a layout in Lionel under my current layout . It's all fun.
Enjoy

I'm in HO, but if I had the $$$, I think I would like to have the room to have a very big outdor building constructed for the layout, crew lounge, etc., and build the layout in O-scale.

I would have said S, if I did not have a large commitment to HO. I think that S is a great size for superdetailed mainline trains. I also like the idea of On30, as it leverages my investment in HO. It is not uncommon for me to run a couple of HO flatcars in an On30 consist.
