If you are modeling a Canadian railroad, the Atlas is a model of a style of turntable used in snowy climates. A pit would have to be constantly cleared of snow. As Jim says, it's reliable. They can be dressed up very nice. <br /> The thing you have to accept is the indexing. You may not like it stopping every 15 or 30 degrees (old models stop at every 30 degrees). <br /> <br />
