Here' more. Dirty wheels-dirty track really impede the Rivs because of their size and lack of electrical pick-ups. I would use MAAS, a 2oz , $3.00 metal paste cleaner on the wheels & track. www.maasinc.com Turn the loco over, run electrical clips from rails to pick-ups, power up, and spin the driver wheels-apply. Also the pilot-rear truck by hand turning. Use some old T-shirt material wrapped around a brite boy or similar size block, apply the maas to the material, then to the wheels. See Modelrailroader, Jan 03. Wipe off two mins later with un-treated cloth. The other majoj problem, insufficient electrical pick-ups .
