I'm 53, wear bifocals, and got into N scale last year. My eyesight isn't a problem because I buy all RTR and use Kato Unitrack. However, I think the eyesight issue is a myth because I know people a lot older than I am who model in N and do all kinds of detail work. In fact, I know a guy who's about 80 who models in Z scale and he wears bifocals. <br /> <br />Good luck! <br />Doug
