Athearn HO Parts
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, September 23, 2003 3:39 AM
Hi, I'm looking for HO Athearn dummy trucks and GE U-boat 4-axle sideframes to use on a resin kit of a UP turbine. I'm in Ireland at the moment and there isn't a lot of scope for US outline stuff here. Can't seem to get these parts new anymore - even Athearn don't have them and haven't for months! In total I need 6 dummy trucks, 4 pairs of U-boat sideframes and 4 pairs of EMD F7 sideframes. If anyone can help or suggest a source I'd sure appreciate it.
Thanks Spence

Have you tried E-Bay ?
Lots of Athearn stuff there, including some you might get cheap enough to scrap for parts.

You can purchase parts directly from Athearn if you have a part number. Check their Web site for an e-mail contact address.
