[/quote] I picked up one of the Lionel Turbines on the blow out sale and it is an interesting model, but I don't think it is rated the eight wonder, at least not in my area. It does sound good, but you have to change the CV's to eliminate the diesel start up sound everytime. They did use the small diesel around terminal during services to protect the hearing of all within a four block radius, but the big turbine engine was not shut down everytime they stopped. The blowout Challengers were fairly good also if you got one that ran. Maybe someone will produce it again under another import name. Tower 55 is coming out with the 8500 HP three unit turbine and wil have sound in it also. No I take that back. The Lionel Turbine came out almost two years ago before the summer of 2005 and that does make it the eight wonder of the world.
