You are on the right track by looking in this web site and others previously mentioned. Do not forget the magazines. Check with your local hobby stores to see if there are any clubs. They may have a reference library. Also some of the old hands may be willing to help you get started. One of the best aspects of model railroading is the willing ness to share information. I had modeled other objects but became frustrated, as few people were willing to share techniques. It was as if, “I know how and I will not tell you my secret.” Good luck and enjoy a great hobby. Remember your greatest asset is your fellow hobbyist.
