Kader owns Bachmann. When Lionel bailed, Kader re-issued the models as Bachmann. I was aware that the same GS4 molds were used to make the Lionel and then the Bachmann, but the connection was unclear. <br /> <br />You are correct about the quality of the shells being far ahead of their time. Too bad they did not work on the drive chassis. <br />Thanks
