I came to this thread late. So I apologize in advance if something is already said. I dont know the particulars but it is better to live in harmony with a loved one (And with trains) than to have a fight everytime trains are "Present" either in converstation, doing workbench or actually run trains. My spouse does not really "Do" trains but I warned her while we're dating that there will be trains in the house because it is good for me to have a hobby. Her response "Better trains than ports and taverns" So that got settled. But later on I discovered that the amount of money I can spend is dependant on her tolerance. If I bring in something new and act like a teen in love for a few days with it I had better do something that is good for her such as a dinner or extra little things around that eases her life for a time. There is balance in life in everything, but I think you will have to cut this Lady and let her go find someone else to enslave.
