I own over 20 for a 2 1/2 x 5 ft N scale layout. Some are farther along than others, but that's part of the process, and there is no rush since an operating session only requires two or three. <br /> <br />The thing is, I like detailing engines, so I have different "sets" of engines, from different roads and different time frames. For example, one set is a pair of GP7s an a GP30 in a mid '60s Southern paint scheme, while another set is a Clinchfield GP38 and GP38-2 as they would have been in the late '70s. <br /> <br />---jps
