Help identifying a logging road name
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, August 29, 2003 1:56 AM
Hello there, this is my first post. I am 27, and I have been a Trains magazine reader for about 8 years.

I bought a Rivarossi 2-truck heisler a year or two ago, used. The initials on the side are "L C & N Co." Is anybody familiar with this road? I tried doing internet searches on it, but nothing turned up.

Any help would be appreciated.

Clark,

How about the Lehigh Coal & Navigation Company? It fits the initials and sounds a likely user for a geared loco. Here's some history:
