[/quote] I stopped at Davis Trains Friday and they have more wall space devoted to HO kits than to N scale rolling stock. I did see 1 N scale kit but nothing that I could use on my layout. Wood, styrene and brass for scratch building are easily available at the closest Hobby Lobby or art store if the LHS does not carry them. I don't think anything is disappearing but in some places it might be easier to find them.
