Well, after a 20 year absence from modelrr, delving into hot-rods, mountain biking, scca road-racing, high powered rifles, I have started back into model railroading. Just picked up a P2k SD9 undec at a local store for a decent price and started painting it to modern UP livery. Having alot of fun re-kindling my interest in the field, and I am amazed how much detail comes included in the new locos compared to the old Athearn (I spent 3 years superdetailing a UP SD45 blu-box)!

Question - how do I remove the sideframes from the trucks of the P2k locos so I can paint them? I am using Modelflex and a Paasche H airbrush and want to avoid spraying onto the wheels and gears.

Thanks

Eugene
