I'm thinking about doing a custom car for my HO layout.
The first one is a club car and the other will be a custom built sytrene car.
Any ideas?

I usually want to have a particular car on my railroad and build a custom car if that's the only way to have it. Santa Fe sulphur cars, Hart convertible longitudinal-dump ballast cars (the Walthers car isn't exactly the one I wanted), carbon black covered hoppers ( a bit different than any of the plastic models available), Santa Fe high-side wood chip gondolas converted from GA-26. Any particular prototype area you are modeling that would suggest a car? Didn't Lampasas have a mule-drawn passenger car at one time to ferry passengers from the mainline that bypassed the town, to downtown? Why not model THAT car?
