Fallen flags in the modern era

Conrail items with NYC reporting marks and whatever NS uses(I think they keep the CR marks for rolling stock)are too common to truly be considered fallen flags. <br /> <br />I see many ex-Frisco coal hoppers, with Helm Leasing patches. (HLMX, HPJX, etc.) I occasionally see an old Chessie coal hopper. I see quite a few Family Lines covered hoppers, like-wise Seaboard System and Chessie. There was a Clinchfield box car sitting in my local yard until recently. You can never rule out the occasional BN or Santa Fe freight car, either. <br /> <br />Earlier this year, CSX was running what seemed like a bi-daily coal train. The hoppers on the train were always the same: SP, UP, DRGW, MP, BN, and ATSF. ALL Western giants, some gone. They were all unpatched. I still haven't figured it out...
