Hello , I know no two steam donkeys were pumbed the same way, however I do need a diagram of the basic pumping esp. the check valve, injector and the fuel pump for oil fired boilers. Should the check valve (water in) be placed away from the steam turret? Ben

All the information I have show all the plumbing on the same side. Also, did you find any information on the way you wanted to use a donkey in you MW scean?

Hello Mike. Think HO scale. I am building at least 4 railroad construction trains era 1940s to 1950s. Each set will need electrical power when they are out in the woods. I want to hook up a steam donkey to a turbine turning a genterator. A camp engineer will maintain the donkeys, keep it hot, etc.. I also want more donkeys to do work around the job site, so I want to get the details right. I noticed steam locomotives have their check valve at the front of the boiler, away from the water that is the hottest and the fire box. Cold water on either of these is not a good thing so I think on the donkey the check valve should be opposite the turret. What do you think? Ben
