What do you think about model railroading?

I have been modeling HO for over thirty years,and over this period I found out alot about myself,I cannot understand people who say "I can't" in Model railroading you find out you can become,a Civil Engineer, a construction engineer,a planner(without all the redtape),a designer,a landscaper,any many more to numerous to mention,thats what model railroading does for you it brings out your best,even if you think you"can't.Have FUN and just get into it.

High; When IT is "DONE", of course they never are, and I get to look at it and think "That really looks/runs/IS great!". And again, later, when IT is "even more DONE".

Lows; There are only 24 hours in a day. This is a very labor intensive hobby.

Wouldn't trade it for anything else. Not even a lifetime supply of free beer.

I love it when the scenery that I can see in my mind really happens on the layout[:)]

but

on the other hand I hate it when I can see it in my mind and it's not happening when I'm trying to put it down on the layout[B)]

High: Putting many hours into a model to make it look great, then showing it off to other people.
Low: Breaking parts or accidentally dropping a model on the floor.

Highs: I like train watching but the trains just aren't frequent enough and the visible track area isn't sufficient as in the west, but on the D&J Railroad, I can run em more frequently and see more track area.

Lows: My around the house jobs get behind when I get on my modeling binge.
