If the threaded bar between the two jacks is one piece, both jacks will be synchronised and have no alternative but to operate as one. If one jack locks up for any reason the other will not be able to move. <br />Which brings me to another thought... <br />The thread on a car scissor jack is much courser than the threaded bar I used (10mm thread) therefore you will need a motor speed that is quite slow but with a higher torque. Judging by the top picture though, it looks like you've been using a cordless drill for testing already so you should have a good idea of the speed needed.
