Intermountain HO F7 (GN)

I own two Genesis F7A's and have a strong interest in Intermountain's Big Sky Blue GN F7A. I'm running DCC and assume it's a simple board swap out. Do the lightbulbs need a resistor or to be changed out? How do these IM units run? They're hard to find (and a bit pricey).

I'm not an owner of any of the F7's but MR July 01 gave a good review.
"The all-new Regal line mechanism is extremely quiet, smooth & powerful. It's impressive 5.5 ounce drawbar should pull 77 cars. 18 ounce DCC ready came with KD # 5's which is too short for the nose so substitute a KD # 36". For certain roads, available also in B unit.

Thanks, Charles. I knew the drive was good and I was happy to see IM had cut down the HUGE airhorns.
