I live in a town where the local hobby shop has not progressed beyond the "Plasticville" buildings, they have never heard of Cornerstone, DPM, etc., so I therefore buy 99.9% of my buildings through the Walther's catalog from Bruce's Train Shop in Sacramento (my sister lives about two miles away from the store). When I get the buildings, thanks to the US Mail, I generally begin painting and construction imediately and then they will sometimes be used right away, but more often than not they get put on a shelf and i decide where they are going to go later. This generally works well, but on occassion I have had to (carefully) re-paint a building before placing it. I think the reason is because I need to order by mail.
