Bachmann's effort sometimes works ok (as on the three diesel locos of theirs I have) but is usually a pain in that the centring spring is not as effective as the Kadee one. You can adjust the Bachmann ones by bending the spring "tines" but it's not worth the effort to my mind, the Kadees look a lot nicer (they look like greased metal rather than brown plastic) and work superbly when properly adjusted. Any Kadee coupler can use the delayed uncoupling function, the crucial part is the magnets. Hope this is of help!
