I've been a member of several clubs over the years. Two were round robin affairs which worked best when all we did was socialize. One was a club which owned its building and met twice weekly. This one I enjoyed for the operating, some construction and the socializing too. I have had two different operating groups on my own layout for about 7 years. These fellows are fairly serious about running on a schedule. We socialize afterwards.
