Hi
I need help to paint my undecorated ALco FA/B in Union Pacific colours. Any hints which colours to use and/or some colour photos would be highly appreciated.

Frank, the colors are known as "Armour Yellow" and "Harbor Mist Gray" and are available from Floquil, Polly Scale, Modelflex, and Scalecoat. Take your pick. MicroScale makes decals for UP Diesels in N, HO, and O.

Hi Frank,

See the Paint Shop feature, "A pair of Union Pacific Alcos in HO scale," by Ted York, on pages 196-198 of the January 1999 MODEL RAILROADER. It covers details, paint, and decals, for the UP FA-1 and FB-1, and includes both model and prototype photos.
