RAIL-ZIP !!!

I have been using this new product called Rail-Zip to enhance electrical contact, has anybody else used this product. my results have been good I have put a little more on than the recomandation and I find it works really good does anybody else use anything to allow more electrical contact during an op-session when you don't want to stop and clean the track, becasue that's the draw back to rail zip you have to wait 12 hours after applying it to the rails. I wish I could say something positive about Rail Zip. I used it once and swore I would never use it again. I have several grades on my layout and after having applied Rail Zip no longer could my locos negociate these grades. I tried everything under the sun to remove Rail Zip - to no avail. I just had to wait for it to wear off on its own. Took several weeks to get back to being able to negociated my grades. I had never used anything but the dry method to clean my tracks for years and someone suggested Rail Zip - believe me stick to dry method - nothing works like bright boy and elbow grease - take care

How much Rail-zip did you use?. It only takes a drop or so per rail depending on how big your layout is.

this obviusly isn't the same RAIL-ZIP that's made by Pacer, because I've used that, and had no problems, and I didn't have to wait 12 hours.

Followed instructions - used few drops on each rail and had loco run over drops to carry Rail Zip over entire trackwork - I'am not saying it doesnt work just dont use it if you have any grades as your locos wont make it - severe slippage - on layout without grades I guess would work - anyways I'am back with Bright Boy eraser and elbow grease and locos performing perfectly -
