I have a question that I hope somebody can answer. I was wondering when People are operating their railroads are they constantly adjusting the speed of there trains or are they just leaving It at a Normal pace, because when Im at train shows I see the operators always fidgiting with there controls I take it there slowing there train down for curves then once in the curve speeding the train up

I've operated on several large layouts and everyone has had speed limit adjustments that where suggested you watch. (It wasn't a hard line enforcement though). The limits depended on if you where in a town, a yard, on a grade or a curve. It adds to the interest of actual operation and it helped keep things running smoothly when there are several trains out on the line.

It Depends If you are in a club then they might have a regulation for towns or curves. If your running on your own Layout then it becomes up to you to deside if you want a speed limit in sertone areas.
