I love MR, but as the years go, good columns go, and ads come. I really miss columns like Student Fare and Bull Session. In the June issue, the letter from the editor said that "the new pages will be put to better use". I highly doubt a couple of Atlas ads is "better use". I still love the magazine, but as each year progresses, the articles feature bigger and bigger layouts. In the mid 90's, they ran a Student Fare special on a boy who made a 4 by 5 HO layout. It wasn't huge, but it sure was inventive and creative for a 15 year old. The articles continue to feature older and older modelers and bigger and bigger layouts, or the person who built the "ultimate layout" or "ultimate module". Whatever happened to the younger set??? Being one of that set myself, i would be thrilled to see more younger people layouts and more small, interesing layouts. Sure, big layouts are cool, but everyone enjoys a change in pace now and then. Also, no offense meant to the steamer people, but the product of the year is ALWAYS a steamer. Surely there are enough of us dieselers to overthrow the steamers. If you are reading this, Bergie, and think that I am just venting about MR, i am not! I am just expressing my feelings about this issue. I really do look forward to the next issue of MR. Thanks for taking the time to read all this. Just my [2c].

Jordan
