Another shot at a video clip
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, October 11, 2005 6:40 PM
I'm giving this another shot. I tried adding some light and a new angle. This time it's a CNW coal train with a little help from a Rock C44-9B. Hopefully this works the first time. If it does then I think I've got it except making the quality better.

Very nice! I have fogotten the first, but that doesn't mean it was "forgettable". This one turned out very well. Thanks for letting us see your pike.

Yea it's a custom kitbash. I wanted to do something different and this was the result. The funny thing is that the end I used was from a GP 38-2 that I had a few extra shells of. Then I used the cab from the dash 9 on a GP38-2. Made for an interesting looking loco. I guess I kinda got the whole mad scientist and Frankenstein thing going.[:D]

Cool and nicely made!

I like the 2nd video clip where that multi-unit lashup comes out of the tunnel. Good closeup.

Don't take this negatively: There was only one element missing to make both videos truly complete....................................................................Horns!

I enjoyed both videos. If I could suggest. . .Keep the auto focus off. The camera keeps trying to "hunt" for the best focus.

Take are,

Thanks for the compliments. Hopefully the next clip will have horns. I'm not too sure how exactly I'm gonna do it but I do have an idea to try. I did notice the focus thing. $400 camera and I can't figure out where to shut the auto focus off at. The manual is like one of the huge dictionaries at the library.

I left a couple gaps in the track to make the clicking. The kids love that. Again thanks for the compliments.
