On a slide of an old Walthers Catalogue, i saw the picture of an HO Model of the E60CP, it was not that one from Bachmann. Had Walthers built an own model of these loco? Does anybody has a slide of it?
Thanks, Michael, Dresden, Germany

I had one of the freight versions of this locomotive. It was lettered for Black Mesa and Lake Powell. It was made by Athearn for Walthers.

Back in the 1970's, I recall the E-60's in HO being marketed by an outfit called " American GK". I believe they used Athearn U-30-C frames, and produced their own body shells. Mike, these have been out of production for at least 20 years. Good luck finding one.

There are several
E60
models on ebay, including two Wlathers.
History, a company call ed American GK made models of the E60CF and E60CP. They used an Athearn U-C chassis. Walthers some how acquired them (I don't know exactly what or how) and offered them for a couple of years.
