RE photo size:

Anything file size larger than 150 KB is big and will take a long time to load in slow dial-up situations. You can right click on an image and see the size of the file. There are many large photos is this thread. . Size in pixels is only one measure of photo size. File size is more accurate. I can generate a high resolution photo that is small in dimension, but large in KB. Any big files should be compressed. In the early web days this was a necessity because large files (300KB) took forever to load and the equipment couldn't handle the file size once it was open. Recent advances in web speed and higher powered computers have made this much less of an issue.

Your browser or the site software crunches the photo down to manageable screen size but yourcomputer is still juggling all of the data. This makes the screen scroll funny and other oddities. The more recent computers have more ram and better capabilities to handle this so some users won't even notice. Those on Windows 98 (yours truly) do notice. Anyone not on DSL is waiting for this thread to load....

For the record - not intending ti diss or start a flame war

Aggros lead photo 229KB
Digital griffins photo 56KB
eng22s photo 42 KB
Tstages potrait shot 112 kB

Signatures
spacemouse 187 KB
Twhite 57 kB
Aggro 130 KB

Some of you might consider making these signatures smaller by compressing them
