Hello Kirsten,

Are you our new moderator? Is Bergie still onboard as well?

You be nice to Kirsten! [:)]

She's not a moderator, but has all the power of one. She does a lot of Internet marketing work here, including sending some of our other magazines' e-mail newsletters. To help me, she helps with the back-end maintenance of the Trains.com lists. If someone wants to unsubscriber from our list and they don't update their profile to do it themselves, Kirsten will do it. She needs moderator access for that, so that's why she turns up as a moderator.

If you have any problems to report, send them my way, not hers.

Take care,
Bergie

Are we really sure he is a human, I am understanding these here computer web site thingies are all automated. I am thinking he is some type of artifical intelligence. Notice he only appears when we have issues, or certian words are said. I think he may be part of the Matrix [:0]

Hhmmm... Good point! Now that you mention it, I don't recall it ever being discussed before. What about it "Bergie"? Human or A.I.???

Geez guys! I didn't mean to start a ruckus! LOL! [(-D]

Kirsten, the thought that comes to mind with your name is the young lady from "Spider Man" who played "Mary Jane". Nice to know that you're on here too. If you're a modeler or fan, consider posting it on this thread.

BTW: ( Make sure you keep Bergie in line! ) [C):-)][C=:-)][4:-)][oX)]

Bergie: In order to settle this question. i.e. human or A.I. How about posting a picture of yourself and one of Kirsten?

A CRAY?!?! Gee, I had him pegged for a Commodore-64.

(Sorry, I couldn't resist that one.)

Oh I can verify that Bergie in Fact does exist, in a fully human form, at the Kalmbach offices in Milwaukee WI. I had the pleasure of meeting him late last year.

How do you know Bergie isn't the guy in the back and Kristen isn't the girl?

I too have met Bergie and can testify that he exists and is not a hologram. As to whether his intelligence is artificial or not, it seemed real to me at the time.
As to his cuteness I really must defer to others, ditto his legs .... I will only opine that having met various Trains magazine and Model Railroader staffers over the years, going back to the 1960s, Kalmbach is obviously a place that hires on merit, not on looks alone.

Interesting point about what some of the Kalmbach/MRR related staffers look like.

Only persons I recall seeing a picture of are Tony Koester and Andy Sperandeo. Tony is a regular in MRR. Andy appeared on the "Tracks Ahead" series on a clip covering an operating session on the Kalmbach MR&T layout. (Impressive layout---sorry to hear it's no longer active.)

You can see my mug if you click on my username to view my profile. If you think I'm going to post a picture of Kirsten, you must be nuts! [:D]

Let's move on...
