Not sure why you're worried about the Overtons. I think I've missed what prototype you're trying to be accurate about. Are you attempting to model a prototype line or a freelance? If your layout is set in 1890, the MDC Overtons, if anything are a bit later than that. The Sierra Railroad cars, which were the prototypes for the MDC models were built in 1902 though the style had been around since the mid-1800s. <br /> <br />I think you should reconsider why your railroad <i>shouldn't</i> be running shorties. They look great behind a 4-4-0 and cash strapped shortlines might reasonably be pulling them into the 1890's and, in the case of the Sierra RR, much later. <br /> <br />Wayne <br /> <br />
