I absolutely love the SD-40-2 style engines and regard that as my all time favorite outright. BUT, I am awed by most any diesel (there are a few exceptions). I really like the newer engines out now ( meaning SD-50s & 60s and above). On the other hand I can't stand the looks of the shark nose units of old and another old style unit that had a streamlined body raking down to the platform (don't remember the designation). This is just like asking people what their favorite brand of vehicle is (Chevy, Dodge, Ford, etc.). You'll always get a wide variety of answers and an equal number of reasons why.
