Small house here, with 9 1/2 by 19 basement for trains. 4 by 8 feet of that area is furnace and water heater, leaving basically 9 1/2 by 11, with a 5 /12 by 8 area coming off the main room. The smaller space is just enough on the end for 30" minimum double tracked horseshoe curve! You gotta have an imagination in some spaces! I like the beer storage idea, but darn, the place is actually pretty warm, and almost nothing is more disgusting than warm beer, unless it's a duck-under, after a few beers.
