Seems pretty cheap. [/quote] you should be able to buy ground walnut shells at home depot or lowes for sand blasting.... Sand blasting has been using walnut shells for several years now because it breaks down and is enviromentally friendly.... you may need to break it down a little more but I am sure it would make great ballast.
