Sounds more like a problem for the service dept. at BLI the steam dynamo once activated will wind up then should shut off, once it reaches it's peak and shold not be repetive.Atleast that is the way it is with my Class a. You may want to also check that the plug is fully seated in the loco mine has came loose a couple of times and even though the loco still operated it had a couple little problems with the whistle and bell.Good Luck it is a great engine Terry.
