I just watched his video, is there something else he posted other than the video?

He's tried to post 2 pics in different threads, one about 8 posts above this one and all we see is a circle with a horizontal like through it as in do not enter.

Really glad to see this thread pop up for a newbie like me.   I'll go back through and read what I've missed.

I spent about half my youth in a townhouse complex adjacent to the CNW trackage in West Chicago, IL.  I could watch the trains from my bedroom window.  I'm not being particularly prototypical but I'm slowly acquiring CNW equipment for the 80's/90's layout which is very inspired by my youth in "West Chicago" and my last dozen years living on the West side of Chicago.

If you're interested in the Chicago and North Western, I earnestly suggest you join the C&NW Historical Society.

Then contribute articles to the online Chicago and North Western Modeler magazine, of which I am the new editor.

Just bought two Scaletrains -9's and set them to work pulling 36 2970 covered hoppers . The ruling grade at the top of my helix is 3.2% with 30"r. These things can pull. I did have two -8_40BW and an SD70ace Walthers mainline on the point.

Cheers Les

I have long thought the yelow and green of the C&NW was one of the smartest paint schemes out there.
